LOCATION : Indo-Pacific: Red Sea and East Africa to the Marquesas and Line Islands, north to southern Japan and south to Australia.
HABITAT: Marine, reef-associated; found around coral reefs, shallow lagoons and outer reef slopes. Adults also gather around coral formations, caves and wrecks.

WEIGHT: Common length is about 25 cm; maximum recorded length is 40 cm TL. A reliable standard weight range is not reported.

FOOD: Mainly carnivorous, feeding on fishes and various marine crustaceans and other invertebrates; it also consumes some algae.

સ્થાન: ઇન્ડો-પેસિફિક વિસ્તાર: લાલ સમુદ્ર અને પૂર્વ આફ્રિકાથી માર્કેસસ તથા લાઇન આઇલેન્ડ્સ સુધી, ઉત્તર તરફ દક્ષિણ જાપાન અને દક્ષિણ તરફ ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયા સુધી.
લંબાઈ અને વજન: સામાન્ય લંબાઈ આશરે 25 સેમી છે અને નોંધાયેલી મહત્તમ લંબાઈ 40 સેમી TL છે. વિશ્વસનીય standard weight range ઉપલબ્ધ નથી.
ખોરાક: મુખ્યત્વે માંસાહારી; માછલીઓ, વિવિધ દરિયાઈ ક્રસ્ટેશિયન અને અન્ય અકશેરુકી પ્રાણીઓ ખાય છે તથા થોડાં શેવાળ પણ ખાય છે.
ખોરાક (વૈકલ્પિક) આહાર : માછલીઓ, ઝીંગા, કરચલા, સ્ટોમેટોપોડ, સેફાલોપોડ, પ્લેન્કટોનિક ક્રસ્ટેશિયન અને ક્યારેક શેવાળ તેનો ખોરાક છે.
વિશેષતા: તેનું શરીર ચમકદાર પીળા રંગનું અને ચાર સ્પષ્ટ વાદળી આડી પટ્ટાવાળું હોય છે. પુખ્ત માછલીઓ દિવસ દરમિયાન કોરલ રચનાઓ, ગુફાઓ અને જહાજના ભંગારની આસપાસ મોટા જૂથ બનાવી શકે છે.

लंबाई और वजन: सामान्य लंबाई लगभग 25 सेमी है और अधिकतम दर्ज लंबाई 40 सेमी TL है। विश्वसनीय standard weight range उपलब्ध नहीं है।
खाना: मुख्यतः मांसाहारी; मछलियों, विभिन्न समुद्री क्रस्टेशियन और अन्य अकशेरुकी जीवों को खाता है तथा कुछ शैवाल भी खाता है।
भोजन (वैकल्पिक) आहार: यह मछलियाँ, झींगे, केकड़े, स्टोमैटोपोड, सेफालोपोड, प्लवकीय क्रस्टेशियन और कभी-कभी शैवाल खाता है।
विशेषता: इसका शरीर चमकीले पीले रंग का और चार स्पष्ट नीली क्षैतिज धारियों वाला होता है। वयस्क दिन के समय प्रवाल संरचनाओं, गुफाओं और जहाज़ों के मलबे के आसपास बड़े समूह बना सकते हैं।
