Climate Change Learning Lab


The Gujarat Climate Change Learning Lab is the fruit of the successful 'Strategic Partnership for Implementation of the Paris Agreement', a European Union-funded project. With co-funding from BMWK under the 'Indo-German Support Project for Climate Action in India', this innovative initiative is jointly implemented by the EU Delegation to India and GIZ India, in partnership with the Climate Change Department and DST of GoG. The significance of this lab lies in its interactive and experiential approach to disseminating science based insights on climate change.

EMPOWERING STUDENTS

The Climate Change Learning Lab (CCLL) is a valuable resource for understanding and addressing  climate change. It offers a variety of educational materials, including courses, workshops, and  interactive tools, that can help individuals and communities develop the knowledge and skills  needed to take action on climate change.Education and Awareness: The CCLL promotes understanding of climate change  issues and their impacts through various educational programs.Sustainable Practices:The CCLL encourages individuals and  communities to adopt sustainable practices, such as reducing energy consumption, conserving water,  and minimizing waste. Supporting sustainable businesses: It provides resources and training to  businesses to help them adopt environmentally friendly practices.

Zonal Divisions: Organize the lab into eight distinct zones, each focusing on a specific theme or aspect  of climate change, such as greenhouse gases, renewable energy, or climate justice.  1. Diversity Conservation.  Learning Opportunities  Maintain a collection of over 100 informative posters covering various  aspects of climate change, from the causes and impacts to mitigation and adaptation strategies.

BUILDING CAPACITY THROUGH INTERACTIVE EXHIBITS

The Climate Change Learning Lab (CCLL) can be further enhanced by incorporating a variety of interactive exhibits and programs that engage visitors and promote a deeper understanding of climate change issues. Energy Balance Exhibit: A visually appealing exhibit that demonstrates the concept of energy balance, showcasing the inputs and outputs of energy to and from the Earth's system. Material Recovery Facility exhibit: various materials, simulating the process of a material recovery facility. Wheel of Climate Change Problems: A spinning wheel with different climate change challenges. Visitors can spin the wheel and discuss potential solutions or impacts. Quiz Competitions: Conduct regular quizzes on various aspects of climate change, from basic concepts. such as renewable energy, climate justice, or adaptation strategies.
